Because safety and durability are of such importance when building a deck, it is imperative to hire an experienced contractor. Today’s composite decking is made to last nearly forever.  However, the structure that holds up your deck is made of wood, which, although it is treated, decays at a much faster rate than the composite material.  We use only the best materials and techniques in order to construct a deck that will last for many years. 



Painting a deck is never a good idea, as shown by this peeling which occurred only a year after it was done.  We presented our client with several options, and it was decided to replace the rotting, peeling decking with new composite materials. This Mendota Heights project involved some structural repairs and cost $4,500 to complete.  More photos of this project can be viewed here.

We offer many options for finish materials to fit many budgets and lifestyles, including Azek,Trex, and cedar, and we can incorporate lighting, metal, or glass components as well.

New Deck Construction typically costs $25-$50 per square foot and up.  Upgrades such as glass panels, custom stair configurations, and built in lighting can add to the cost.  These costs are approximate and are for planning and budgeting purposes only.  A consultation at your home and site inspection is necessary to determine an exact cost for your project.  This consultation typically costs $59, unless we need to research custom materials or structural engineering in order to develop your design.  You can download a sample proposal below.

Code requires a continuous handrail on deck stairs.  Rather than a wood rail that can rot, we utilize this aluminum and pvc rail for lasting durability.

Todays composite deck materials are made to last nearly forever.  However, the support structure is still made of wood.  We take great care to protect this wood to prevent rot and decay.

A great option is the RainEscape system.  It keeps the area under your deck completely dry.  These homeowners had us divert the rain water into a barrel for watering plants.
