Bathroom Remodeling in Inver Grove Heights, Eagan, Mendota Heights, Woodbury, & Cottage Grove MN

This bathroom posed a few challenges:  a corner bathtub that was barely large enough to fit a small child, and a client who is 6'9" tall.  Our solutions included a 6' whirlpool tub, comfort height toilet, and an extra tall vanity.  Porcelain tile mimics the look of stone without the maintenance.  This particular project cost $18,000 including all tile, fixtures, materials, and permits, and 62% of the debris generated during the project was recycled.  See the complete photo album for this project here.

Outdated olive green tiles and a mirrored shower door were banished and replaced with beautiful Italian travertine stone and antique bronze fixtures and shower door. Due to the extensive tile work, imported tile, and outdated plumbing that required upgrading, this particular project cost $22,000.  See the complete photo album for this project here.

This bathroom was completely gutted down to the studs and remodeled.  It features space saving fixtures, custom tile work on the floor, and custom striped paint on the walls.  The difference is breathtaking!  The space saver vanity cost more than we had hoped, so in order to keep within this projects $15,000 budget, the owner opted to keep the existing bathtub and we installed an acrylic surround for the shower instead of tile.  A full photo album showing this project from start to finish can be viewed here.

You can actually see the old faucet leaking in this photo!  We installed a new bathtub, faucet, proper backing and waterproofing for the tile, and simple ceramic tile.  A full remodel wasn't within the owner's budget, so they opted for this bathroom upgrade which also included the addition of an exhaust fan.  The total cost of this project was $8,500.  You can view the full photo album for this project here.

After just six years, this shower failed due to lack of waterproofing under the tile.  We expertly installed natural stone tiles over the properly prepared and waterproofed shower stall.  This project also included a new shower faucet, shower door, painting, and trim for a total cost of $7,800.  View the full photo gallery for this project.

What will it cost?

Here are some examples of typical bathroom projects and their rough costs.

Initial Consultation for Bathroom Projects--$39.  We put as much care and effort into detailing and pricing the project as we do planning it and performing the work. An experienced renovator will meet with you at your home to review your project and discuss your vision.  An open and honest discussion involving your wish list, site conditions, and your available budget will help us develop a plan to bring your dream space to life.  These appointments typically take 1-3 hours.  We will take photographs and detailed measurements in order to develop a detailed scope of work and cost estimate for your project.

Tub & Shower Remodel—$5,000-$10,000 and up.  A typical tub & shower remodel involves removing the tub & surround and replacing it with a new acrylic soaking tub, tub/shower faucet, and tile surround.  It’s a nice option when a full remodel is does not fit in your budget, but the shower tile is in poor condition.

Main Bathroom Remodel - $10,000-$20,000 and up.  In a typical 5’x7’ bathroom in an older home.  These projects typically include full demolition, new bathtub with tile shower surround, tile wainscot and floor, new vanity with stone counter, sink and faucet, toilet, paint, and accessories. In older homes, the old galvanized and lead pipes may need to be upgraded to copper and ABS.  We also recommend that an exhaust fan be installed in the ceiling and vent to the outdoors.

Complete Master Bathroom Remodel -$30,000-$45,000 and up.  Master bathrooms are typically larger than most bathrooms, and lend themselves to creating spa-like spaces to relax in after a long day.  Luxury options include spacious whirlpool tubs, multi-person frameless glass showers or full-tiled showers, steam showers, multiple shower heads, built-in linen cabinets, and granite or quartz counters. Often, we will replace the window and move the plumbing and fixtures around to make better use of the space.
